This man is the greatest frontman alive today.

"WHHHHHAAAAAAAT!??!!" I hear you exclaim in disbelief.
"He's a middle-aged bald man with a strange beard and massive gut, how can he be what you say he is"

Because he is the lead singer of Les Savy Fav and I have never seen anyone onstage that has encapsulated the true spirit of rock 'n' roll with as well as he did.

What I saw last Saturday night was the greatest live music show I have ever seen in my life.

It was so great that my attempts to describe it with words have fallen flat and impotent on a hard slate floor. You just had to be there my friends.

And holy fucking shit, it rocked.

Hearing news today of a grievous attack on the local wildlife I was stunned to hear a familiar name.
During a story about a pelican being stoned to death by some local hoodlums they listed the suspects, one of which was none other than:

Jerome Van Helden

THE Jerome Van Helden?!?!

You better believe it, none other then THE Jerome Van Helden: the naughtiest kid in kindergarten at Minnumurra Public School.

The boy who pulled his pants down in the middle of class.

The boy who refused to take his sunglasses off when the teacher asked.

The boy who always claimed he "didn't feel it" during games of touch football.

If there ever was a "Most Likely to Grow Up and Stone a Pelican to Death" award it definitely would have gone to Jerome.

I hated that kid, and now he's going to gaol.

I've been pondering what I want to do with the rest of my life, and I've decided that I will write a haiku to express my choice:

lying down, naked
attempting to break the clouds
with only my mind.

In preparation for the hottest 100 I have made a list of my favorite songs of the year. This way I don't get flustered when I see the size of the list and get to bands starting with "b" and give up.
It was hard to cut down from the original 20 that I wrote down, but here it is in no particular order:

Arcade Fire- Laika
Franz Ferdinand- Eleanor Get Your Boots On
Babyshambles- Fuck Forever
Cog- Real Life
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah- By the Skin of My Yellow Country Teeth
Death From Above 1979- Blood On Your Hands
Eels- Hey Man (Now You're Really Living)
Strokes- Juicebox
Sufjan Stevens- Chicago
System of a Down- B.Y.O.B.
Current Music: S.O.A.D- Holy Mountians

Last night around 1pm we (me, Angus, Jono and Zoe) were travelling home from a failed expedition to see the Grates live in concert. As we were passing Mt Kiera we looked to the west and saw a mountain of flames that was quickly obscured by the trees lining the highway.
It was wierd.
There has been no mention of this on the local news and I'm not entirely sure that it wasn't a figment of our collective imaginations.

last night we partied with the beautiful people

True friends are friends that have met in a line.

fucking hell, that is the night to which all other nights will be compared.

Right up until the apocalypse.
